About Peter

Peter Houde was born and raised in Nashua and is a third generation Certified Public Accountant on Main Street. He discovered art throughout his childhood, first through children’s books illustrations, then comic book artists such as Jack Kirby who created heroic figures such as Iron Man and the Fantastic Four in incredible places like the Iron Zone, followed by magical Disney animated movies. As he grew older, his tastes matured – artist like NC Wyeth, Winslow Homer, and Claude Monet created realities with distinct styles that opened up perspectives of the world around us.

Peter studied art and accounting at Saint Michael’s College in Vermont and went on to do graduate work at the Rhode Island School of Design. Decades later he is still painting, drawing and illustrating.

It is our creativity that helps make us who we are. It allows us to forge our lives, and influence the world around us, hopefully in a positive way. I recall the words of one of my professors, ‘You only live once, but if you live right, once is enough.’ I hope you enjoy the show.
